The Piermont Library sponsored Book Club read The Beachhouse last month and it was felt that it was a generally fun read. There were some very well-developed, interesting characters though the plot was slight. The book needed to be better edited as I found many grammatical and syntax errors, though none severe. All in all, it was an interesting, light summer reading choice.
