LOCAL & BEYOND: LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS OF THE HUDSON VALLEY AND OTHER NORTHEAST LOCATIONS by REBECCA GMUCS.

During the month of February, Rebecca Gmucs of Orangeburg will show large scale oil landscapes with a strong abstract/impressionistic/color field slant. Gmucs is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence who also studied at the Art Students League and Pratt.

“Space and color are what move me,” she writes. “I have always been interested in expressing the immensity of the space that can surround us” and “the peacefulness and strength contained in large expanses.”
