Piermont resident Sally Savage's photographic essay from the filming of The Purple Rose of Cairo in Piermont will be exhibited at the Piermont Library in October 2008.
Special presentation: the Piermont Library's recently created First Friday Film Series will present a free showing of Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo on Friday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m at the Library. Starting at 7 p.m., preceding the film, Piermont photo-journalist Sally Savage will talk briefly about her experiences photographing how much the appearance of the village was changed for the film as well as the filming itself, and will invite residents to share their own memories of a winter that truly changed Piermont forever.
Opening reception: all are invited to the photographer's opening reception on Sunday, October 5, from 2 - 4 p.m.
