Prepping: Emergency Preparedness for Your Family

Friday May 11, 2018, 7 p.m.

Are you and your family prepared for an emergency? Do you know when to shelter in place, and how? Do you have a “go kit” ready? In this talk followed by Q&A by Megan Cohen, learn how to be prepared for disasters, from floods and hurricanes to man-made emergencies.

We’ll also explore how we can build long-term resilience in the face of rising economic and climate instabilities. Relying on a supply of canned food (or Cheezits) will not make us truly able to survive long-term climate changes, disasters, and economic upheavals, as we learned from Puerto Rico. How can we build the systems, resources, and skills to be truly prepared?

Free and open to the public.
