Children's Art Class with Alexis Starke

Weekly for 6 weeks on Wednesday afternoons.

Library is offering a free 6-week course of Story & Art Classes for Children K-3. The classes start on April 30th and end on June 4th.

All materials will be provided. Class size is limited to 10 students, so please call 359-4595 to register.

Students will create imaginative art projects inspired by books from the Library's collection. Projects will include drawing, painting, collage and mixed media using a variety of materials and techniques suited to the age group. Creativity is emphasized in a relaxed setting.

About the Teacher:

Children's Art Class with Alexis Starke

Alexis Starke has taught children's art classes for the past eight years at schools including the Saddle River Day School and the Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School. She studied art and design at Dartmouth College and English and Art History at University College, Cork, Ireland. She is currently working at the Piermont Library.
