Since opening our doors two years ago (in 2007), the Library has served as an

...all this in addition to providing access to books, audiobooks, music and DVDs with our own collection, as well as our access to the entire Ramapo Catskill Library System.

Many of these resources are supplemented by the Friends - as a result of our Membership Drive and ongoing fundraising activities.

In April of 1990, the Friends of the Piermont Public Library was formed by a group of residents interested in building community support for the library. The Friends raise funds for the library through their programs and activities, and provide a liaison between the library board and the community at large. New members are always welcome.

The Friends, an all volunteer organization, is committed to sponsoring a variety of programs and events designed to meet the interests of our entire community as well as to provide support for our library.

The Friends Board generally meet the last Wednesday every other month, more frequently when managing special programs. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. in the Library and all are welcome to attend. Meetings held in January, April, June and September will be open meetings.

Piermont: Three Centuries is a history of the Village of Piermont that was published by the Friends of the Piermont Library in 1996, in honor of the Library's Centennial.

The book is available for purchase at the Library for $15.00.
