The Piermont Public Library lost a friend and key member of its board with the passing of Martin Gorosh in June. Dr. Gorosh was a Professor Emeritas at Columbia following a career of major contributions in international and academic public health.

A longtime resident of Piermont, one of Martin's passions was the Piermont Public Library, and as a board member for 25 years, and chairman of the building committee, he shepherded the new library building to its recent completion. His wife, Virginia of Piermont and the family have requested that for anyone who wishes, contributions can be made in the name of Martin Gorosh to the Piermont Public Library, 25 Flywheel Park West, Piermont, NY 10968.
