The holidays are coming up! The opening reception for our Annual Holiday Gift of Art Show is Sunday, December 3rd, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm! All are welcome for wine, delicious treats, and live music as we usher in the holiday season in Piermont! Beautiful and affordable works of art by local artists will be on sale for holiday gift-giving or to brighten your home. Artists donate a portion of all proceeds to the library Painting by Trine Giaever 

Join us on Sunday, November 5th, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm for an opening reception for our Art Show of the Month- The Way I See It: Paintings and Prints by Trine Giaever. All are welcome! The show will be on view throughout November.

Teen Team Trivia is coming up! Friday, January 5th from 6:30 – 8:30- come with your friends for fun, food, and Starbucks cards for the winning team. Other prizes for other winners. Free soda and chips! Please register on our website events calendar

Join us for Pumpkin Decorating on the Library Lawn! 

$5 donation to the library per pumpkin (paid at the event day-of).

Decorating supplies will be provided. 

This event will be held outdoors on the library lawn–the library building will be closed.

The next class in our popular Create and Sip for Adults series with Alexis Starke is coming up on Friday, October 20th!  This month, we will create a still life inspired by Cuban artist Amelia Pelaez. After exploring the ornate architecture and design of Havanna, Cuba loved by Pelaez, we will work from fruit and our imaginations to create a unique and colorful still life painting.

Acrylic paints are ideal for this project, but you can use whatever materials you wish. You will want to have something black though- paint, crayon, Sharpie, etc. Each participant will receive a goody bag with chocolates, a mini bottle of wine, paper, and inspiration images. This is a live virtual class and participants are welcome to ask questions, exchange ideas, and share their work. Our projects are always designed to

be relaxed and beginner friendly but fun for all levels. Goody bags should be picked up from the library no later than 1pm the day of the program.
