The Dennis P. McHugh Piermont Public Library offers a series of Art Classes taught by Alexis Starke. Classes cover a variety of materials and techniques in drawing, painting, design, sculpture, mixed media, collage, printmaking, and crafts. Inspiration will be taken from the greats of art history, contemporary artists, and our beautiful surroundings in Piermont on the Hudson River. Creativity will be developed in a supportive environment. And of course we always have fun!
Classes are free and all materials are included. Older clothes and / or smocks (provided by the library or by students) are recommended. Please arrive to class a couple of minutes early to put on a smock and get settled. Classes may be held outside when possible in the Library’s gardens and in adjacent parks and open space. These are drop-off classes.
